Lumnique has retained The Fresh Basil to undertake all marketing activities. Reporting directly to the CEO and CFO, we are tasked with the responsibility to increase sales and grow the business into its second phase. In just two months, we’ve grown Lumnique’s sales by a staggering 470%. As we continue to build upon our success, the following activities are underway:
SEO
The Fresh Basil is currently delivering a holistic SEO solution to increase organic traffic to Lumnique.com. Our service package includes:

- Social Media Management – Facebook and Twitter
- Google Analytics and Goal Conversion Tracking
Still early in the campaign, we have delivered significant improvements in rankings of several target keywords and expect our efforts to deliver more dramatic impact as we enter months 3-5. We will update this page with results as they come in.
Email Marketing
We created a custom email template to match Lumnique’s website branding as a vehicle of reconnecting with previous customers and encouraging subscribers to continue to shop at Lumnique.com for thier gift-giving needs. The email has three distinct sections: News, Candle of the Month and a featured occasion.
The October campaign contained a letter from the CEO, an Autumn candle and highlighted weddings as a great occasion for giving a Luminque candle. “Two wicks, one candle,” – makes sense to us! View the campaign here.
PPC
A meaningful Pay-Per-Click campaign was one of our top priorities with Lumnique. A Google PPC campaign is often a great place to start. Upon executing on a very small trial budget, the campaign helped us refine our keyword research for SEO, but ultimately did not produce the qualified traffic we wanted.
While executing the Google campaign, we began the process of becoming a Gifts.com merchant. Lumnique had applied to Gifts.com in the past, but found themselves lost in the shuffle and unable to gain entree. Leveraging our relationships, The Fresh Basil launched a PPC campaign as a Gifts.com merchant in September. That presence has been a majority contributor to the sales increase we have delivered for Lumnique. With the great success of that campaign, we are pursuing similar gift-based PPC outlets. In addition, we are preparing a holiday themed landing page for an expanded holiday PPC campaign.
Affiliate Marketing
Lumnique knew an affiliate marketing strategy could be effective for them. They installed JAM/ JROX and asked The Fresh Basil to develope the affiliate tools, design the campaigns and work with the CFO to define the partnership terms. The program development has just been completed and we have started rolling it out. We will have updates here shortly.
